My bug eyed bug is back!!!

This is my little friend back for a visit,The patio table was still wet this morning from the rain,And he climbed up and got himself a drink. I just can't hardly believe how he looks at me,I could tell I was getting on its nerves by sticking the camera in its face,It was reaching for the camera, and I didn't want it to touch me,because of those claws it has,So I backed off and left it alone..

Do you know how hard it is to get a grasshopper to sit still???

I always wondered what nibbled on the shrooms in the woods..
I guess many creatures do,But this is one of them,I caught him and before I could get his pic he went into his shell and would not come back out..I waited and waited..
The honeysuckle is still blooming here in KY.It is one of my favorite wild blooming vines,And the smell!!!! WOW..I think sums it up..So good..

My brother Doc gave me a start of his wild honeysuckle last year, and it bloomed this year,I was surprised that it would bloom that fast..

I took this on top of a mountain here on Saturday,It was a beautiful day for a ride in our Rhino..

Sorry I have been out of sorts lately..came down with a bug and just can't hardly get rid of it...maybe soon...take care..

  4. My grandpa used to be scared of praying mantises. He said they freaked him out, the way they looked at you. Funny, you would think he would like a bug that prayed, him being a preacher and all. lol. I hope you feel better.

  6. Your photos are amazing. I think Praying Mantis's (Manti?...hee hee) are wonderful little creatures. My son has always been a little obsessed with them. I'm sorry that you are ill. I will keep you in my prayers.

  7. I think that bug is giving you the evil eye, or sizing you up for a meal, one or the other ; )

Good luck trying to wait out a turtle! LOL! I didn't know they ate shrooms either but now I do.

Our Honeysuckle hasn't been around since the beginning of July! How I love the smell too. If only it would last a little longer.

  8. Loved your pictures. I guess the turtles know which ones they can eat and which ones not to eat. The Praying Mantis is kind of a neat insect.
