A GOOD WARM FALL DAY WAS HAD BY ALL

W e started our ride out going up our driveway in our Rhino and the 4-wheelers..
Just out the road a bit is the Bigger Woods that we can ride for miles and miles..

This is one of our past times here in the hills of KY.we all love to go 4-wheelin..
The sun was shinning and it was so warm, and the smell of the leaves was very very nice..

And we happen upon this Grouse that was just dilly dallying around,She actually stood for a while so I could get a shot....with my camera that is...

And she stood some more..good thing I was with hubby or we may of had her for supper,I have saved quite a few birds from him...He is as bad as Shag the Cat...well maybe not that bad.... he does hunt in season....hubby that is...

This is on an old reclaimed strip mine, that is where the grouse was to..it's a great habitat for all kinds of wildlife..

We couldn't ride for very long, hubby had to get back and get ready for work, but the short trip was worth every second....

This is part of the road that leads to our home....

This is our long driveway..well part of it..remember we live in the Big Woods..
And we really do live on a sunny ridge.....

And you can see the squirrels are fattening up for winter...I have two of these gallon jar feeders out and I have to fill them every other day..that is a lot of corn..good thing it doesn't cost to much..

This is part of our front yard..I love the fall in our yard...

This is the opposite side of the front yard..

Still the front yard...

This is part of the back yard..

Still the back yard..if you go over to the edge of the tree line it is a cliff, straight down, like you will fall off if you don't watch yourself.....well maybe it's not that bad...but at least no one can sneak in the back way unless you climb cliffs....lol...

And as I said a good time was had by all..as you can tell Duke my Boxer had a good lazy day,he acts like he needed it...
And of course Shag the Cat was enjoying the falling leaves and just the warm day...
You know I have to put my bestest bud on here to...
And last I wanted you to see my big fern before the freeze gets it....This is what cow poo can do for a fern... It is a lot bigger than it looks here..It is in a 5 or 6 gallon pot or bigger...

Take Care all my blogging buddies and my friend in South Carolina..

Y'all have a good weekend...

  4. Andora, your home is such a beautiful peaceful place. I love your view of the mountains and the Big Woods. I so relate to the privacy, long drive, although your's is longer and the problem of what to do with a humongus fern, too large for inside!

    Luv and Smiles,
