I was talking on the phone with my brother today and noticed this little head coming out of one of the bird houses on the porch,The picture is kinda blurry well a lot blurry,I had the phone in one hand and the camera in the other,and that is my excuse for the quality of the pic...But anyway I would like to know what it is..
I am thinking maybe a Starling,But just not sure...
This one you can see a little better.... He kinda acted like he was stuck in there..
Does anyone know what he is???Hope everyone is surviving the storms...

Looks like a Starling to me too, Andora. I just posted a photo of one too, we often do the same thing! Actually, it was the first time for a Starling to visit our porch.

yep, that's a nasty ole starling--a bird brought over from England on one of the first ships. See, they weren't smart enough to NOT get on a boat that they didn't know where it was going! They are just like pigeons--another imported bird. Why couldn't we have imported beautiful birds?

ReplyDeleteahh, he is a starling! just needed a warm spot away from the snow. i read your other comments and so many dislike them...kinda sad as god made them as well...maybe not as pretty, maybe too many of them but then humans aren't all that pretty when you compare them to other species and there are waaayyy too many of us and unless you are indian, well then you came over on a boat too!!!

ReplyDeleteSnow is all gone here ...it left Friday, and today was a beautiful day 60+ degrees ... makes me so excited to think that we might be getting some warm spring weather.
Stay warm ... and I, unlike most don't mind any bird ...my vulture photos are proof of that.
