I think I'm back!!! Yeah I am!!!

I have been living in a snow globe for months..mentally and physically..I think it is the mid-life thing that us girls go through...if you know what I mean...but I do believe I am on the mend..so I hope I am back to enjoy reading every one's blog again...so I hope you will forgive me for my slackness.... Winter here on Sunny Ridge has been a pretty bad one..I was talking to my Dad and I told him this was the kind of winter we had when I was a child..He is 82 and said he didn't ever remember a February being this snowy...So that was something to hear...
So anyway the little squirrels didn't come out much while the weather was really bad,but when they did they ate like pigs..
I had to really keep the feeders filled at all times..I think I put out more seed this year than I ever have...

These two were just waiting for me to go inside so they could hog up all the food...they really are pigs...
We had lots of Blue Jays this year...they are such a pretty bird..
And when it did warm up a bit Shag the Cat was so thrilled that he ran up a tree as fast as lightning, and he came down that fast to...if you look close he is upside down..
Love that Cat..
Well I know this is short...hope to have more to share with you in a few days..
I have missed everyone so much...I am so glad to be feeling like a human again...or maybe just feeling a little normal...
take care...

  1. We are glad to have you back. I know what you mean, about the snow globe. I think a lot of us have felt that way this year. Maybe age and time of life does have something to do with it.

  3. I love how you described being in a snow globe! Very creative. It has been the strangest winter here in many moons. But, me liking winter, it was a rare treat from Mother Nature. But, that being said, I am so ready for Spring!! Love your photos.

  4. We were out and about today and it was back to being the ugly drab of winter, no snow on the ground. I love your squirrels and bluejays. We put out a squirrel feeder and it hasn't been visited once and I think all our blue jays came to your house.

  8. Same here Andora, the birds kept us busy, I've never had to dispence so much seed, the back porch was constantly covered with hungry birds. Warmer days this weekend though!

  9. I think we are all having some type of cabin fever this Winter! I know I've been living in a snow globe too! Sometimes it's been fun but other times I can't wait for Spring. I am enjoying not having to drive the kids to school on those days that they close the schools though!

I know what you mean about the birds being little piggies this year! I think I've already put out 3 bags of 50 pound bags of Sunflower seeds this year and 12 suet cakes. But it's worth it! I love the birds and seeing them at my house. There is also a benefit to feeding the birds. They build their nests in the trees nearby and they eat all of the bugs in the Summer!

  10. You take such beautiful pictures. You could make postcards or birthday cards out of them. I know I have put more seed out this year than ever too. They can empty my bird feeder in a day!

  15. Good to see your comment on my blog, and see you back posting on your own! The winter blahs have been in full force here in SD for many weeks now. I'm counting the days until the spring birds return, and the wildflowers too!
