Thank You for the sunshine!!!

Hubby and I have been very busy lately,as I'm sure all of you have been to...we have been doing some remodeling to the house, hardwood floors and tile..It is a big job and my house looks like a tornado came through it...But it will be back in order in a little while...The warm weather and just the sun shining is such a blessing...I have really needed the sunshine...got to get that vitamin D...get plenty when in the sun....

This is my new crab apple tree that we just planted..I have a white one and this one is red,so the next one is gonna be pink.. I have planted 10 climbing roses and hope to plant about 10 more...Hubby built quite a few decks,so I thought they would be pretty around them..and great for the hummers and honey bees to...
This pic is a little blurry, but we have lots of flowers that are starting to green out..This is one of my clematis..

This is one of my Hollyhocks...Hubby's uncle past away a year ago and this use to be one of his..I was so glad to get it..

And one of my most favorites is the Bearded Iris..Love them,I have lots of different colors of these guys..

This is one of the most beautiful flowers,it is the foxglove...

And of course we have to have something to eat coming up..Rhubarb..love to make rhubarb cake out of this..recipe later..

And the Doves and what we call Cowbirds(I think this is them)they were trying to find worms.. and they did find them...
I don't know to much about these guys,so any info would help....

And this woodpecker, or is it?? He has the red head..but anyway he was looking for bugs and worms to I guess....Everything is coming alive,it is wonderful...

It is such a warm all over feeling when you open the windows and doors and the birds are singing and flirting, and the morning is just so alive with everything...God gave us the most beautiful music of all..His nature sounds.......I love it......take care all and have a great Easter weekend....

  1. Isn't spring wonderful? I love seeing the critters and birds coming out again amongst all the beautiful flowers and greening. BTW, I believe that redheaded bird is a flicker, close cousin of the woodpeckers. They are a beautiful bird. We have them out here in northern CA, too. Oh, and the ol' turkey gobblers woke me up this morning, so spring really is here --in spite of the cool temps and gray days this week. I guess it's just March saying goodby. Finally!
I love your blog page with all of its colorful pix of nature. If could have my druthers, I would be outside rather than in.
    Blessed Easter to you!

  3. Spring is a wonderful time. Your flowers are a few weeks ahead of mine, Andora. We spent all day yesterday working outside, it felt so good.
Your place is going to be even more beautiful, when in full bloom!
Your house may be a mess inside now, but think how nice, after the job is finished.
    The bird is a Flicker!

  4. Great pics! I can't wait to finish fixing up our yard, it's still dirt/mud from building, lol.

  5. Things at your house are sure farther along in their spring growth than mine...lovely to see green growy things again.

Woodpecker picture is a Northern flicker, yellow shafted variety. It is a male, you can tell by his stylish black moustache, a lady doesn't have one.

  7. Love your pics. It looks a lot like it looks around my house. Those cowbirds are the ones who lay their eggs in other birds nests. They don't raise their own young. It has been beautiful here but will be dreary and cool today.
