Not much going on!!!

Sat out on the steps this morning just enjoying the warm sunshine before it got to hot.. This little grasshopper just sat there on the steps to and let me get as close as I wanted with my camera.. Fall is just around the corner..I am not ready for it but I love the fall and winter here in the mountains..

This is one on my many pots that I plant every year with some sweet potato vine and some other pinkish green vine that looks like ivy...you just can't go wrong with these vines, they make you proud every year..they start out tiny and cover the whole pot in no time at all..
I think I have 6 of these pots in all, some vary with different things in them,I also use the springarye fern..it fills out nicely.. In my last post I was harvesting peaches, now it is time to harvest my Asian pears..this little tree was loaded this year,I think I will just pick them and put them in the fridg and they should last quite a while..If I don't eat all up to soon...

Well there just isn't to much going on here since we have all the weddings and showers over with..I will be posting the two weddings on my next post..so until then..have a good week..

  1. Andora,
Thanks for the idea of using Reeses in Smore's. We'll have to try that one.

  2. That was a friendly grasshopper, Andora. We have hundreds of tiny ones in the field, but they're faster than me. Your planters of potato vines look great, I should try them next year!

What`s nice about those vines is that they are easy to start & make more of.

  8. That grasshopper is something else, looks like he is trying to figure you out. Your planters are pretty, too, I don't plant much in planters, I'm bad about not watering things and they wilt away.
