BIG BROS BEAN PATCH

My brother Doc called and ask if I wanted a mess of green beans,(now mess is just a word we use here in Kentucky for a bag full or it is enough to make a couple meals out of)So of course I said yes.so I go down to his place to get them(he lives a few miles from me)and I thought I would take a few shots of his bean vines, they are 12 to 15 foot tall or taller, they were beauties, and beans galore.I ended up buying a bushel from him,he wants to give them to me but I said no,he works very hard in his garden.the soil here on sunny ridge is not very good,so I don't have a very big garden. So anyways I put mine in the freezer, I had six or eight gallon bags full, and kept a mess out for supper... These will taste good on those snowy days this winter..

  1. Looks like a fine mess of beans to me! I'm getting ready to start canning tomatoes. Thanks for joining my blog.

  2. Gardening is a lot of work! I used to freeze green beans, but now I can them. We got lucky and got a canner at a yard sale a few years ago.
